An AED trainer looks and talks like the real machine but delivers no shock. It lets a class practise placing the pads, following the prompts and standing clear, without risk. Many makes sell a trainer that matches their own AED, so people practise on the machine they will use.

Training pads wear out with use. Each trainer has its own replacement pads, and some take adhesive gels that are sold separately.
